James Fahy is a Melbourne-based musician, interviewer, and wikipediste.
He has contributed to so many interesting musical projects, including the art-rock sounds Hi New Low, filling in for Fun Machine, and following Joe Oppenheimer on hours-long pop improvisations. He's played festivals and venues up and down the East Coast, and busked countless street corners.
As an interviewer, he has hosted a variety of live interview shows, one of which became the podcast "Wait Long By The River", on which he talked to creative types about what keeps them ticking over and how they balance life and art. It scored a lovely review from Timber And Steel one time here.
He hosted Mario Kart tournaments (with a live band!) at the B.East, and hosted the 6-part G.Rage show at Art Not Apart.
What else has James done? He contributed the music and sound design for the best-selling game Five Plants, by McLean. In 2019 he appeared on the most popular show on Australian television, Hard Quiz.
He also sets out on creative projects that never see the light of day, including several board games, a custom watercolour tarot version of a board game based on one of his boardgames for a friend's birthday; and he's tinkering away at a children's non-fiction title about almost everything.
